A curious fall into Maia's berserk mind.

I am done reading the first book which is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo written by Stieg Larsson. I am going to start reading the second book which is The Girl who Played with Fire. 🙂

The first book totally engrossed me. At first I got bored because of the financial topics etc. but when Mikael Blomkvist took Henrik Vanger’s offer the story made a sudden interesting turn. The story of a dysfunctional family combined with socio-economic and political conspiracies made my brain cells work.

I must say that The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is truly a book worth collecting and reading.

GLORIA AND HER MINIONS

“The Truth Commission was put to a halt by the Supreme Court.”
The people and PNoy’s team should have seen this coming. There is a silent rumor that Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo has her own “solid” backers in the government and these backers could actually help her dodge the arms of justice. The justification provided by the SC basically argues that the Truth Commission blatantly goes against the Philippine constitution. It was stated that it violates the equal protection clause of the Constitution. I accept their justification but I do not and will never find it real that they just want to be “noble and righteous” by defending the Philippine Constitution.
If the Truth Commission violates the Constitution then how does GMA’s (allegedly) corrupt and vicious ways violate the Constitution? Now, if the SC can not be bended to approve the Truth Commission then PNoy and his team should start collating ideas to build a “constitutionally legal” group that will investigate the past government’s works and to assure and deliver to the public that this team has indeed obligingly and honestly done their job.
As of the moment, anyone who has clearly seen the Philippine politics arena would know that the SC was being hypocritical and it was being a defender of an evil-minute personality. This just confirms that GMA indeed has her own group of (disgusting psychopathic) minions in the judiciary system.
GOD HELP US.

WORLD AIDS DAY

AIDS has been underestimated for so long that we all need to “push an effort”  in changing its deadly course. The world may not change it overnight but we can still change it. If patience is a virtue then we all should learn how to prolong our patience, If apathy is the root of social-retardation then we all should go against retardation and start caring for each other.

AIDS is just one of the killers of society and a joint effort is needed to win the battle against this malicious rave.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK … FIRE!

I was awaken by a loud knock on my door and when I stood up to see what was the knock all about I heard sirens outside our house. I went out to my room’s balcony and what I saw seriously scared the hell out of me. There were a dozen and more firetrucks outside, there were policemen and PSG (Presidential Security Guard). Obviously there was a fire! I ran back inside and woke up my Lurve, we immediately looked out my window which faces a different direction away from my balcony. There we saw a huge fire upon seeing it we rushed outside my room to check-out my brothers. We even heard a loud explosion which we guessed as the sound of a gas (LPG) explosion.

When we went down astonishingly my brothers were still asleep, my parents, the 2 kasambahays and our security guard (malamang!!) were on their feet. So I no longer panicked. Besides the fire was far from our place, it only seemed near because the smoke was too big. We went back to my room to watch the action from below.

The fire lasted for about 30 minutes, thanks to the dozen and more firetrucks, two dozens and more fire fighters, to the coordinated teamwork of the policemen and PSG and most importantly thanks to God he did not allow anyone to get hurt by the fire.

Effyou

“Effyou”

To those who can not accept their selves and allowing other people to transform them into something they are not.

“Effyou”

To those who are enveloped by their senseless orthodox views. Those who think they are better than the people who they say belong to the “different kind.”

When my Lurve and I woke up this morning the first thing she did is to go online. Why? Because she was craving for some Mexican stuff so she searched for Tia Maria’s website address. She found it and her “drool moment” started. So we decided to have dinner at Tia Maria’s. Oh, I also acquired her “Mexican craving virus.”

See you later, Tia Maria’s!! 😀

Sunday cool-down

This past weekend the gang and I went out-of-town to chill. 😉 Saturday was Tagaytay day while Sunday was Laguna day.

We went to Splash Island yesterday and tore the place down! Good thing there were no long lines and no pesky brats running around the water park. The only thing that bothered us was a group of low-class whores. Pardon me, it is not a habit for me to put a nasty label to people but those whores made a remark that is unforgivable.

GOD! They all looked the same. They all looked like a hairy horse’s ass! They also looked like “puwet ng kaldero” or in English, an overused pot bottom. They were with a “Joe” and you would know whether a girl is a hooker or a pimp. Also it seems that the younger sister of the Joe’s girlfriend has a future just like her big sister. There was a cute Korean/Japanese young guy in the park and the hooker’s sister and girl cousins approached the K/J guy and asked for his number. DUH?!?!? The guy ignored them and by the looks of it, was mortified. No wonder some foreigners come here only for the paid sex.

Anyway, enough with the angry atmosphere. The bottom line here is that we had a BLAST in Splash Island. For the rest of the weekend getaway, I will post more later or tomorrow. 🙂

Sane Accounting

I am currently working on some accounting stuff for my Mom, who happens to be one of my bosses here at work while the other one is my Pop. I am proud to say that I think I am beginning to “learn and absorb” the tricks of accounting. Thanks to coffee, water and The Smiths for keeping me sane. Ha-ha! 😀

*currently working and soundtrippin’ to the songs of The Smiths 🙂

Crime and Murder morning

Good morning everyone! I just finished watching The Bone Collector, a 1999 thriller movie starring Mr. Denzel Washington and Ms. Angelina Jolie. It was based on crime book by Jefferey Deaver and the book was the first book of the Lincoln Rhyme series. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bone_Collector)
